Time Change on Lough Derg

Killaloe Coast Guard was tasked to a Cruiser that ran out of Fuel on Lough Derg by Valentia Coast Guard MRSC.  As a result of  darkness setting in and a strong breeze from the south the craft was in danger of being swept onto the shallows of the Clare Shore, with minutes to spare the Cruiser with its two adults and two children were placed safely in tow to Killaloe.

The Killaloe Coast Guard wish to remind boaters to check that they always have more fuel on board than is required and that darkness sets in earlier at this time of year.
