Killaloe Coast Guard was tasked byValentia MRSC to a report of an 18' RIB that was broken down on Lough Derg. The RIB was located near Cahir Island and due to Dakness and weather bad setting it was decided to tow the craft to Mountshannon where the 2 women and 4 children were drivin by Coast Guard back to Killaloe. The remaining male passanger travelled back to Killaloe on the Coast Guard Rescue RIB " Dalton " .
