Killaloe Coast Guard Unit were alerted to a swimmer that needed assistance while on patrol in the Killaloe area. Killaloe Coast Guard responded immediately and brought the casualty to Ballina Slipway where HSE Paramedics were already in attendance due the I3 swim event.
The casualty was taken out of the water with potential hypothermia but on inspection by paramedics was found to be a little cold & exhausted but was in no real danger.
