Killaloe Coast Guard was tasked by MRSC Valentia Coast Guard Radio Station to a report of an upturned speed cruiser in the Garrykennedy area. The Unit quickly responded along with the RNLI Lifeboat from Dromineer and the Irish Coast Guard Rescue Helicopter from Shannon. The craft was identified and all efforts by the Gardai failed to contact the owner. An extensive search of the area was carried out by all emergency services on scene. Search stood down at 01:00am to recommence recommence at 05:00am.
