Killaloe Coast Guard Unit was tasked by Valentia Coast Guard Radio Station after a member of the public contacted the Unit's OIC Joe Doolan that a sports cruiser was made fast to a navigation marker number 1234 and that the craft had engine problems, the persons on board had already been taken to the shore by another vessel, The Killaloe Coast Guard Unit responded by launching the rib and giving assistance to the striken vessel, a 28Ft Cruiser which was towed to safe harbor at Killaloe.
