Killaloe Coast Guard Unit were tasked by Valentia MRSC to an incidend reported by Killaloe Gardai, that they received a report of a dingy with four persons on Lough Derg near Castlelough in distress.
Due due high winds and bad weather conditions at the time MRSC alerted Rescue 115 the Shannon based Coast Guard Rescue Helicopter to assist. After an extensive search of the area and south as far as Killaloe the Search was stood down.
