Boat Capsizes at White Starnd Co Clare

While on scene at the recovery of the two fishermen near Spanish Point Killaloe Coast Guard Unit responded to assist three persons whose boat had capsized. All three were wearing life jackets however only one activated, the other two clung to the inflated jacket and made it to shore Killaloe Coast Guard Unit then took the casualties to White Strand to the Garda Water Unit were oxygen was administered to one elderly casualty until an ambulance arrived.
Killaloe Coast Guard Unit would advise that all life Jackets be checked regularly to make sure they are operational.
