Killaloe Coast Guard Unit were called to assist a 28' sailing boat that got into difficulty on Lough Derg when its sails were damaged. The weather was very windy with high waves, the vessel made its way back to Killaloe. However while mooring at Derg Marina the skipper fell over board but swam safely back to the mooring. Killaloe Coast Guard assisted in tying down the sails and making the boat safe. The two adults and 5 children were all well.
