Killaloe Unit of the Irish Coast Guard were requested to assist an Emerald Star Line Hire Cruiser, when a member of the public reported that a vessel was stuck broad side at the upper side of the bridge. The craft was towed to the public moorings at Ballina were due to the extensive damage to the port side just above the water line, the two adults and two children were taken off and put into B&B for the night.18 / 2009
