Killaloe Coast Guard Unit honoured some of its past and retired members.


Killaloe Coast Guard Unit and Killaloe Ballina Search & Recovery last night honoured some of its past and retired members.
Geoffrey Carey & Sean Dillon were presented in their absence with proof of service medals for their dedication as volunteers and who have gone to Australia. Jason Carey who will be leaving for Australia next week received a proof of service medal and was also presented with a silver plaque by the members of Killaloe Ballina Search & Recovery Jason will be missed by both organisations. Denis Dillon who was the Debuty Officer in Charge was presented with proof of service medal and a plaque from the volunteers of the Killaloe Unit Denis retired his position due to work commitments. Michael Quigley Officer in Charge who is retiring at the end of this month received a plaque from his fellow volunteers both spouses Anne & Angela received a boquet of flowers.
Appointment of new officers will take place over the coming weeks.
A recruitment night for volunteers will take place this Tuesday Night in JD's Ballina at 20:00hrs.
