Flare Sighted on Lough Derg

Killaloe Coast Guard Unit received a call from the local Gardai of a report of an Orange flare sighting on Lough Derg. The Gardai and the Killaloe Coast Guard carried out a search of the shore line between Harbour Village and Twomilegate, however the visibility was very poor so MRSC Valentia tasked the Rescue Rib "Dalton" to carry out a search of the area. After an extensive search and using an illumination flare nothing was found. The Unit stood down.
