Killaloe Coast Guard were called by the local Garda to a Car that had entered the canal at Killaloe with one person trapped inside.With the assistance of the Local Fire Service a steel cable was placed around the car and towed to shallow water were the causality was removed to the HSE ambulance and taken to the regional Hospital Limerick. The vehicle was later removed by crane.Pollution measures were put into place.
