Busy Bank Holiday Monday in Killaloe

Killaloe Coast Guard Unit were on Patrol throughout the Bank Holiday weekend. While on patrol on Monday Killaloe Coast Guard Unit were called to three different incidents. The first was when two teenage girls were reported missing in a small dingy, a full alert was issued by Lough Derg Coast Guard Radio to all boat users to assist Local Coast Guard Unit and the Coast Guard Helicopter from Shannon in the search after some time the two were found safe and well at Kincora Harbour. The second task was to assist a hired fishing boat that had engine trouble with four persons on Board, craft and persons were towed to safety at Killaloe. The Third came when a small speed boat with two persons on board had engine trouble these were assisted by another craft and towed safely to Ballina.
