Killaloe Coast Guard have been advised of a product recall concerning some 2008 and 2009 year models of Yamaha Water Vehicles (Jet Skis).
Yamaha Water Vehicles, models FX1800-G/H and FX1800A-G/H.Risk: Fire and Explosion - In the affected watercraft, there is the potential for the fuel hose to come loose from the pipe joint at the fuel rail on the engine. If this happens, fuel could spray into the engine compartment, increasing the risk of fire or explosion resulting in severe injury or death to the operator, passenger, or bystanders.
We encourage all jet ski owners to check their watercraft against the ID number range of affected vehicles before further use.
