Crew Training

During the past 12 months all our voluntary members have completed a rigorous training schedule: Jan 2008 all members completed a 3 day Occupational First Aid Course.
February saw our new members complete a 3 day VHF course in Doolin. March saw our new members complete a three day Occupational first aid course. Sea Survival Courses started in August in the National Maritime College in Cork and will finish at the end of September at which time all our members will have completed this course. Also in August 13 of our voluntary members completed a Coastal Skipper Course over 3 days in the Lakeside Hotel. Throughout the year all members train once every three weeks in all aspects of Search and Rescue operations, are available for call out when required and carry out maintenance and cleaning duties.
