James Whelan a member of Killaloe Coast Guard rescued a 7 year old child ( not wearing a life jacket) from the water a Ballina Jetty today at 12:58. The child fell into the river unknown to the parents but as a result of a quick responce all was well and no medical attention was required.
It is important that all children in particular, wear a life jacket while on board any type of Craft.
